Orchestra
Project goal: to allow instrumental students to play symphonic works within a large orchestra; an ensemble that brings together all instrument families: strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion; to discover the pleasure of expressing themselves together: instrumentalists and choristers; to get as close as possible to the original orchestration imagined by the composer; a symphonic orchestra integrated into the music school, which rehearses weekly (approximately one hour per week); rehearsals (orchestra workshops) that incorporate the pedagogical tools of the Kodály Method; an ensemble open to students from other schools in the Geneva musical landscape.
Studio Kodály Orchestra: CHF 200 per year for external students. For students on the standardised curriculum, the flat rate includes a chamber music, orchestra and choir activity (depending on the project and the established timetable).
