LE Poche Cabaret II | THE Chant DES Bruants Fous
An abandoned shed, a deserted beach, a few scraps of memories. That's all that's left of Le Bruant Fou, a mythical summer cabaret that disappeared thirty years earlier. Delving into their memories, Camille, Sacha, and Arlette set off in search of a mysterious box buried under the sand and years, a true time capsule supposed to contain the secrets of a happy era. Armed with metal detectors, they scan the ground for it, re-enact passages of a ritual that would contain the secret of its location, and bring back ghosts of the past and forgotten details. As time passes and stories emerge, a new, strong, and unexpected bond is woven between them. With Le chant des bruants fous, Lou Ciszewski uses the codes of cabaret, distorts and stretches them to find a new form straddling fiction and the tradition of the genre. Infusing quirky humor and light joy into this enigmatic story, she creates a timeless universe on stage in which invisible legacies move, re-enact themselves, and become material for invention.
