Shotokan Karatedo practice with the aim of developing concentration, coordination, reflexes, balance, and respect for the dojo, partners, and instructors. For older participants, the mastery of techniques, inner strength, flexibility, and body awareness are added. The instruction also instills the values of this martial art: respect, humility, honor, loyalty, sincerity, courage, kindness, integrity, and self-control.
