Jazz Language – Free improvisation
The Jazz Language – Free Improv course offers a unique approach to musical improvisation, where each student explores concepts such as spontaneous creation and interaction within the ensemble. Through the study of historical movements of free jazz and notions such as sound density, instrumental colour, and expressivity, musicians develop a personal and free language. The emphasis is on experimentation and spontaneity, allowing experimental improvisation concepts to be integrated into a collective setting. This course aims to enrich the musical practice of participants by encouraging them to push the boundaries of their creativity and interact with their musical environment.
