Jazz history – Written to improvised traditions
This course offers a condensed study of Western musical language as well as its connections with music in a more global sense, all in relation to improvised language. The course is based on the study of around fifteen important and representative musicians, from Gregorian chant to contemporary music, including classical music from India, Brazil or the current Urban world.
