Jazz initiation for pianists offers a comprehensive introduction to the basics of jazz, through arrangements and work on the different styles of this music. Students will learn to master the harmonic and rhythmic codes specific to jazz, while developing a unique and personal phrasing. The course favours a playful practice, encouraging pianists to express themselves freely without relying exclusively on sheet music. Each session allows for the exploration of various pieces, offering a practical approach that stimulates creativity. This course is an opportunity for pianists to familiarise themselves with the world of jazz while having fun.
