Apparatus gymnastics includes 4 pieces of equipment: the trampoline, the floor, the rings and the horizontal bar. The gymnastics level is "assessed" through a category progression from 1 to 7. Gymnasts participate in at least one competition per year. During category progression, gymnasts perform a sequence of compulsory and optional movements on each apparatus.
