English 7P/8P
English lessons for children in years 7P and 8P, designed as a progressive programme over two school years. The course mainly aims to develop oral comprehension and expression, to help pupils use their acquired English knowledge more spontaneously. They enrich their vocabulary, consolidate basic grammatical structures and progressively develop their ability to communicate with more ease and precision. The approach is interactive and communicative, with games, pair activities, dialogues, role-playing, stories, projects and varied educational resources. Reading and writing are also worked on to consolidate learning. Teaching is mainly in English, to encourage regular exposure to the language and to encourage pupils to express themselves in English. The two-year progression allows pupils to consolidate their achievements and progressively approach new structures and richer vocabulary, without repeating the same programme from one year to the next. Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of English, approximately equivalent to an A1 level. Target audience: Children in years 7P and 8P (10-12 years old) Materials to bring every week: Children must bring: • coloured pencils; • a grey pencil and an eraser; • felt-tip pens and highlighters; • glue and scissors; • a rigid A4 folder; • the textbook used during the course.
