Contemporary Drums
Through various modes of playing – different kinds of sticks, hands or fingers – and by working on the coordination of all four limbs, students in the contemporary drumming course will be able to explore all the possibilities offered by this instrument. Without rejecting the rhythmic models specific to jazz, rock or Afro-Cuban music, students will have the opportunity to develop, solo or in a group, a more narrative and expressive vocabulary for the drums.
