First Lights is a selection of short films for children aged 4 and over and their families, designed as a first major gateway to cinema. Through tender, funny and sensitive stories, the films invite viewers to discover the world through the eyes of the very young: a first day at school, a fear that transforms, an imagination that takes flight, or the joy of growing up step by step. Without words, or carried only by images, these stories leave plenty of room for emotion, curiosity and wonder. Each film becomes a little adventure to share together, where you laugh, are surprised, and learn to look at things differently. A bright and accessible programme, ideal for a first family encounter with Latin American cinema, and to discover a festival that celebrates imagination, gentleness and diversity of perspectives.
