CinéClubturel - The Sword in the Stone
2026-2027 Season: "Humans vs AI". Join us with your children for these sessions designed to introduce them, through accessible stories, to what distinguishes humans from their creations: emotions, consciousness, the ability to make choices. Using film excerpts, children will learn to look at images differently, developing their critical thinking through drawing and group discussion; no prior viewing is necessary, parents are welcome and a fruity break is provided. The Sword in the Stone by Wolfgang Reitherman, 1963 (1h19) Fantasia*, 1940 (30min excerpt) Through this classic animated film, children will discover the journey of a young boy guided by a somewhat whimsical mentor, who accompanies him in his learning about the world and himself. Between transformations, experiences and unexpected situations, the story accessibly explores the transmission of knowledge, the development of critical thinking and how we learn to make choices – all themes that resonate today with our relationship to the tools and forms of intelligence that surround us. * by J.
