Character Dance (from 10 years old and adults)
This class is for dancers with basic classical dance skills. Character dance is a theatrical dance form that appeared in the mid-18th century in major ballets and opera. It is inspired by traditional dance steps and trades, which it stylises and adapts to academic technique. Its technical basis is that of classical dance; expression and intention are part of it. It has its roots in the dances of different countries: Ukraine, Russia, Gypsies, Spain. Character dance allows each person's personality to blossom, beyond technique. The energy that emanates from this dance is particularly palpable, as the music is catchy, rhythmic and melodious.
