Paul Beaubrun's new album release - Vertières, a tribute to revolutionary heritage, with the legendary vodou rock band Boukman Eksperyans. In the early nineties, Boukman Eksperyans was the most popular band in Haiti, and their vodou adjae, which means danced voodoo, spread like a wave throughout the country. Paul Beaubrun, son of the root band, is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who is now opening a new musical dimension. Heir to this cultural commitment, he brings a bold modernity to this heritage, creating a bridge between tradition and innovation. Even today, still skeptical of the powers that be, Boukman Eksperyans continues, through its music, to carry a message of freedom, consciousness, and love on stages around the world. --- Some rhythms cross the horizon before finding a garden in which to linger. (ALOKO & EZ QUEEN). In collaboration with BelJazz.
