Introduction to jazz for saxophonists, clarinetists and flautists
Jazz initiation for saxophonists, clarinetists and flutists offers a progressive discovery of jazz codes, including phrasing, harmonies, and specific rhythms. Students explore various styles through arrangements, learning to interpret and improvise on jazz pieces. The course promotes a playful approach, encouraging personal expression without exclusive dependence on sheet music. Musicians are encouraged to develop their own sound and to improvise, while integrating the fundamental elements of this music. An environment of sharing and creativity guides each session.
