Second festive Sunday at the Béaba de La Bâtie! This special day is offered in collaboration with Cross Rhymez, a program of artistic pairings and cross-residencies between hip-hop artists from Geneva and Amman (Jordan). On the program: a fantastic picnic in the shade of the trees, a pottery painting workshop, a children's disco, and, at the beginning of the night, DJs, beatboxers and dancers take over the Béaba to transform the park into an open-air dance floor. The fantastic picnic 13:00 to 16:00 – tasting by Swiss Culture For Palestine What could be better than a friendly picnic in the shade of the trees? We provide blankets and cushions for you to enjoy your homemade meals! To complete your meal, SCfPal offers an immersion in the culinary traditions of the Levant through a selection of authentic specialties: various mezzes, hummus, muttabal, falafel, manakish, tabbouleh, fatayer, oriental sweets. A generous, friendly cuisine that carries history, inviting discovery of Palestinian and Levantine gastronomic heritage. Ceramic painting workshop 12:30 to 15:30 – continuous, free, no reservation required and subject to availability We welcome you for a simple and fun creative break at our free ceramic painting workshop! How to participate? Nothing could be simpler: just come with your inspiration. We provide painting pens, an outdoor creative space, and objects to personalize. You can also bring a ceramic item (or stoneware, earthenware, porcelain) from home to give it a second life! Children's disco 16:00 to 17:00 – free, no reservation required Before the takeover begins, dancer and DJ Nader invites children and their families to share a playful, energetic, and participatory musical journey. With a mix of disco, funk, house, and rhythmic selections inspired by artists from the Arab world, Nader offers an accessible and dynamic gateway to music and movement. Both a DJ and a performer, he regularly leaves the decks to join the dance floor, fostering direct interaction and public participation. Conceived as a moment of sharing where music, dance, and play meet, this event offers an open and friendly introduction to hip-hop culture, in its most physical, festive, and joyful dimension. Live and DJ Sets 18:00 to 22:00 On the program DB Chan/ beatmaker (CH) Kreaem/ beatmaker (CH) Big Murk/ beatmaker (PS / JO) Sotusura/ beatmaker (PS / JO) Abood al-Adham/ beatboxer (PS / JO) Nader Issam/ dancer + DJ Boom (PS / JO) Alaaddin Rahmeh/ dancer (PS / JO) Jocelyn Kagina/ dancer (CH) Nora Kllokoqi/ dancer (CH) DJs, beatboxers and dancers take over the Béaba spaces to introduce you to the best of the Swiss and Arabic-speaking scenes, explore their resonances and see how their worlds meet, respond to each other and create together. The musical dialogue is continuous: transitions are built through improvisation, spontaneous collaborations and constantly evolving soundscapes. The various sets then blend into a unique collective narrative. This takeover of the Béaba is not conceived as a showcase of distinct artistic identities, but as a space where exchange itself becomes the main form of performance. It embodies the spirit of Cross Rhymez by highlighting collaboration, collective creation and the encounter between different artistic languages, generations and influences.
